Melanie Dan

Melanie Dean

Manager/Receptionist/Dental Hygienist

A familiar face in the Peace River dental community, Melanie brings over 10 years of dental hygiene experience and her infectious smile to Greene Valley Dental.

Melanie brings a unique perspective and insight as a dental hygienist. Born into a Military family in Quebec, Melanie lived all across Canada and in Germany. Her first foray into the dental profession began with a move to Chiliwack, BC where she graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley in dental assisting. She subsequently obtained her diploma in dental hygiene from Oxford College in Scarborough, ON.

Melanie is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service and preventive care possible. She believes that dental hygiene sets the foundation for healthy living because of the connection between oral health and overall health.

Outside of the dental office, she can be found in the great outdoors, enjoying food (she has yet to eat a donut she does not like) and wine with friends, attending a yoga class or curled up with a cup of tea and a good book. Melanie is passionate about creating experiences by traveling and spending time with her family, which includes her husband, Noel and their two sons

Jana Cloake

Registered Dental Assistant

Jana brings over 20 years of experience working as a chairside dental assistant to Greene Valley Dental.

Born in Toronto, Jana grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She moved to Alberta in 1994 and attended the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) where she obtained her diploma in dental assisting. Her passion for the profession stems from being able to provide care on a daily basis, as is evident from her attentive nature, and her motivation to continually learn and be hands-on.

It is not surprising that Jana’s love for doing parallels her personal life. In her down time, Jana enjoys outdoor activities and being active, including skiing, sailing and playing tennis. She has a green thumb for flowers and vegetables, cooking and reading. Jana also knits, sews and refinishes antique furniture. Caring for her community and family brings Jana a lot of joy, particularly to her two grandchildren, four adult children and husband.
